I love this bike. I previously owned a Specialized Stumpjumper 03 FSR Disc, which I had to get rid of as the bike geometry was causing me knee pain. I looked around at a few options and came across the Kona Colier. Since I started riding this I have got more confident and ride my regular trails faster than ever before. I know that the bike can handle everything I throw at it.

It handles brilliantly, turns when I want it to and will drop of anything I have the confidence to drop off so far. It feels heavy when you lift it up but I have no problems keeping up with friends on lighter XC bikes during trail rides. On the downhills I'm at the front now.
Climbing is slightly harder as the front is higher than I'm used to and the front wheel can bounce off small rocks, but if yo set the fork up right you can tackle most climbs no problem.
The bike has run sweetly since I bought it and I have to say thanks to my LBS - Bike Barn, they really know how to dial in the gears properly and the service is excellent. Had to have the rear wheel trued after a few rides, but that is cos of the weaker rims.
I'm going to change the disc brakes as I'm not convinced of their stopping power. They are ok, but I had the Shimano Deore's and they felt much sharper which I prefer. Will go for XT brakes and the new XT shifters, but other than that, any upgrades are really just personal taste.
I decided to get this bike after reading reviews on this site, so felt it onyl fair to add mine as well. Buy this bike, it won;t let you down if you're looking for a good allrounder that can go XC and Freeride for a very competetive price. Hope this helps.
